Germany is investing €200 million in advanced manufacturing. President Obama has led a push for the reinvention of American manufacturing, with a proposed $1 billion war chest. Now Britain is playing catch-up, with £150 million being invested by the government over five years to kick-start innovation and lure manufacturing companies back to its shores.
